The Friday Five - Summer Edition

It's already time for the Friday Five!!

I hope you have had a *great* week!  School is *finally* out! YAY!  We did it!!

It was a really exciting week for our family!

This pretty little angel was welcomed into the Butler clan.  She is even more gorgeous in person. Probably the prettiest baby girl I've ever seen!

Tomorrow is Ryan and my *3rd* anniversary of the best date ever.  This is a photo from the best 2nd date ever.

The one where he took me to eat *real* sushi for the first time (real=they were serving a lot of fish heads on plates - fish heads that were prepared by the sweetest looking, older Asian gentleman I have ever seen...he wore an adidas sweatband and wristbands - the rate at which he was serving up said fish heads was unreal).

On to 3rd grade for this little man...

So let's talk summer!!

I am, once again, linking up agian with Cynthia at You Signed Up For What? , Mar at Mar on The Run & Courtney @ Eat Pray Run DC for the Friday Five...for the Friday Five.

This weeks topic?

Five things I am going to do this summer.  In no particular order...

#5 - Commit to at least one outside run each week.  Since my primary method of training has consisted of the treadmill for the last 2 years, I am going to mix it up a little and do my weekly "easy" run outside.  Maybe throw in a little track work here and there.  I hear summer runs = fall PR's, so we'll see how that one goes.

I also have a few races scheduled for this summer.  Not so much to race, but to use as supported training runs.  Because everyone likes to run 20 miles in July in Texas.  I may as well do it on a supported course, right?

#4 - Eat as many snowcones with this little boy as possible.  Basically, spend as much time with him as possible.  We both LOVE summer vacation.  It not only means no school, but it means we get to spend our entire days together!  Since I work from home, Louis gets to really enjoy "summer".  We spend a lot of time in the pool, a lot of time at the Lifetime pool racing down the big slides, riding bikes and eating snowcones.  Basically summer rocks.

#3 - Like Cynthia is doing....CLEAR THE CLUTTER.  I'm not sure how three people can fill up every room in our house.  The first to tackle is my craft closet.  It is a monstrosity.  Then on to Louis' room, to clear out all of the outgrown clothes and toys we have collected over the years that we are no longer using.  Do you ever feel like you just have too much "stuff"?  I DO!

Here are where all my crafts and holiday decorations threw up.

#2 - Begin my 5th cycle of marathon training! I used to do just 2 marathons a year, but this year, between fall 2013 and spring 2014, I did 4.  Between this fall and early next year, I have SIX on the books.  SIX!  In fact, it was almost 7, but I decided to wait on one til next year.  I am still debating on plans and will likely just build my own.  Training is only 5 weeks away!!

#1 - Go on two fabulous vacations.  One very soon to Maui (I still can't believe I'm going to Hawaii) and another to my hometown of Lakefield, where Louis and I spend time every summer.  My parents usually keep Louis for a week or so, so that they can spend some quality time with him without mom.  Louis is a true mama's boy (and I secretly LOVE it).

That's my summer breakdown!

What are you looking forward to most this summer?
